American Express Launches Festive Spend Offer for Cardmembers (valid till November 15, 2021)
When it comes to spend-based offers, one of the main proponents in the market is American Express. As India enters the festive season, American Express has already rolled out a variety of spend based offers over the past months. We usually don’t write about them because they are targeted. However, this time around, the spend-based offers appear to be rolled out to a wider base of American Express cardmembers.
American Express Unwrap Celebration Spending Offers
Where American Express used to offer a few Tanishq vouchers during the day to spend the festivities, this time, they have introduced a huge bouquet including Amazon vouchers and Taj vouchers. All rolled out offers are valid from October 1 to November 15, 2021 and enrollment is mandatory.
The offers launched by American Express are targeted at the following Cardmembers:
- American Express Platinum Card
- American Express Platinum Reserve Credit Card
- American Express Platinum Travel Credit Card
- American Express Gold Card
- American Express Membership Rewards Credit Card
- American Express SmartEarn Credit Card
Various permutations have been introduced, and you will receive one of the following offers:
- Spend a total of INR 200,000 or more in eligible expenses during the offer period to receive crown vouchers worth INR 15,000 (7.5%)
- Spend a total of INR 125,000 or more in eligible spend during the offer period to receive a crown voucher of INR 10,000 (8%)
- Spend a total of INR 50,000 or more in eligible spend during the offer period to get an Amazon Gift Card worth Rs.3,000 (6%).
- Spend a total of INR 25,000 or more in eligible spend during the offer period to receive an Amazon Gift Card of Rs 1,500 (6%)
- Spend a total of INR 10,000 or more in eligible spend during the offer period to receive an Amazon Gift Card of INR 750 (7.5%) (if spend exceeds INR 25,000, an Amazon gift card worth INR 1,500 will be sent)
There are no restrictions on where you can spend, and there is no minimum number of transactions required. This offer is applicable to select American Express Cardmembers only. A Cardmember is eligible for this Offer only if he/she has received Offer communication directly from American Express through any of its channels. Supplementary Cardmember Expenses will also be counted as Primary Cardmember Expenses.
Gift Cards will be sent to eligible cardholders at their registered email address with American Express by March 15, 2022. The Gift Card will be valid for 180 days from the date of issue by American Express.

American Express has launched its own festive promotions for the season and offers incentives of anywhere between 6-7.5% of what they usually pay for the festivities, among other prizes. You should receive an email communication from American Express with your customized offer, and be sure to enroll before you start spending.
