This 100 % cashback offers on metal cards are one of a kind in the industry and Amex is becoming a trendsetter with this, just like how HDFC did with 10X rewards.
Just in case if you’re wondering, the black card gets a sweet 50K INR cashback – they deserve more though.
The previous 100% cashback offer up to Rs.27,500 was quite useful for you.
this year too we may not see a festive offer for plat charge as this offer is partly designed with that in mind – Diwali is on the 4th and this offer ends on 7th.
That all said, it’s sad that new AMEX cards can’t be issued at the moment due to the RBI ban and so you can’t grab this metal card to enjoy these jaw-dropping offers.
While Amex can’t issue cards for those who’re new to Amex, I guess they can still technically upgrade the cards for existing cardmembers just like how HDFC does – if they wish so.
Amex refrains from doing that as of now without a solid reason that’s known to me, but if the ban continues for a longer period, I think upgrades would be inevitable.
