Like every other year, American Express India has come up with a grand spend-link targeted Diwali offer for 2021, with which you can get gift vouchers worth up to Rs.70,000, depending on the spend.

This offer is as clean and simple as ever, excluding expenses. Also, it is good to see returns on spending >5% on non-Plate cards as well.

Wow! With a decent return of up to 9% on spend, American Express is all set to blow away the competition this festive season to grab the premium segment spends.
And let’s not forget that you also get regular points on these expenses, which, if counted, will add up to ~10% sweets

my thoughts
After almost 4 years, American Express has finally come up with an attractive Diwali offer that gives >5% return on spend for most cardholders.
And not to mention, this is probably the first time they are sending out Diwali (in a big way) offer to Platinum cardholders. Hope this makes many people happy and I am definitely one of them. I
That being said, Amex is also running Rewards Multiplier Offer (October 2nd – October 7th) wherein you can get 20 MR/100 INR instead of the regular earning rate.
It can save a significant amount on festive season expenses with targeted offers.
